Computer Recycling

Lewis Computer Services recognizes the need to be a steward to the environment.  To that end, we offer free and low-cost recycling of all of your electronic equipment.

Items such as batteries and UPS units, cables, drives, printers, computers with no reasonable life left and other non-functioning equipment are recycled for scrap materials with a zero-landfill, zero-export recycling facility.  This means that no hazardous materials are disposed of in a landfill or waste-to-energy incinerator nor are they exported for disposal from any developed to any developing country.

Devices such as cell phones, desktop and laptop computers are cleaned of data and donated to charity for re-use.  For computers, a tax deductible receipt can be sent to you.

The data contained on laptops and desktops are destroyed with the software DBAN.

The cost for this service is $15 per desktop/laptop and $5 per cell phone and monitor.  CRT monitors if non-functional are $15 each.  Cables and peripherals are free.

This service is available by drop-off only unless another on-site service is being performed.

If a computer is purchased in conjunction with recycling the fee is waived.
